If you like to wind your watch by hand when you are not wearing it, you need to turn the crown about 55 times a day to achieve a power reserve of 34 hours. If your watch is a manual winding watch, you need to turn the crown about 23 times. Note: Do not use an electric motor or plastic ring to turn the crown, as turning the crown at high speed may damage the winding mechanism.

Then use adjuster C to adjust the position of the moon. Each click is a day. To find the correct position of the moon, first, go to the full moon position. With the help of a calendar, calculate how many days have passed since the last full moon, and adjust by subtracting 1 from the same number. To adjust the time, turn the hands clockwise until past midnight until the desired date, and then adjust the time. If it is afternoon, the hour hand must go past 12 noon. This way the date and time are all adjusted.

Note: To prevent damage to the mechanical structure of the calendar, please do not adjust the calendar between 20:00 and 06:00.

Can I Always Wind my Watch Manually With the Crown?

It’s okay to do this once in a while, but not too often—especially if your watch has a screw-down crown.
